Southern Spain, especially Andalucia, is renowned for its idyllic climate and the wonderful lifestyle that it can offer. This has led, over the past twenty years, to a boom  in foreigners relocating to this part of Spain, which in turn has led to a boom in property development which continues to this day.

However, the developments that have been built have, up till now, not been very environmentally friendly and this at a time when the issue of climate change and global warming have become central issues. It is widely recognised by most developed countries that alternative forms of energy are vital to sustain the quality of life that modern society has become accustomed to without causing problems associated with global warming. Andalucia has the perfect environmental conditions to fully capitalise on many of the current forms of alternative energy and Energia Spain has been established to champion this cause.

We believe that the time is right to make sure that Southern Spain wakes up to this issue. New laws are now being passed to ensure that new build projects have to have a certain percentage of the hot water / heating system powered by some form of renewable energy.  However, whilst this is a step in the right direction, it will also undoubtedly spawn a whole host of opportunist companies springing up over night, who will claim they are experts in this field. We have to be on our guard against such operations and this is why Energia Spain has been established, as a Supplier, Consultancy, and installers to help offer a reliable and effective alternative to developers and the public alike.
